Parts One and Two of the series of Selosse Tastings at Taberna Wine Academy examined Anselme Selosse’s philosophy on the production of champagne as an expression of specific vineyard plots through his various cuvées. Part Two also provided an insight into the impact of bottle aging on a range of disgorgement dates for a selection of his cuvees, namely Initial(e), Version Originale and Substance. Whereas most of Selosse’s wines are blends of vintages, the third and final part of this series of tastings will look at the impact of vintage through his very rare vintage champagnes.

This tasting will show six vintages spanning more than 10 years : 2003, 2002, 1998, 1996, 1995 and 1992. Substance will be served as aperitif for those who turn up on time!

The series will be conducted by the first and only Singaporean Master of Wine, Mr Tan Ying Hsien MW. Ying has spoken on wine in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, London, Ningxia and Perth. He has judged at international wine competitions frequently, including the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition and Decanter Asia Wine Awards. Ying is also very engaged in the education programme of the Institute of Masters of Wine, mentoring and advising a number of students world-wide.
